Exploring the world with my family, my photo gear, and a bucket list that gets longer, rather than shorter, with each new destination.
Meg Faehl Photography
Hi, I’m Meg Faehl. I bought my first (100mm film camera) when I was in elementary school and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in photography 17 years (and many cameras) later. After graduating with a BFA in photography from the Rochester Institute of Technology I stayed in NY for awhile where I worked as a commercial and portrait photographer.
I now reside the country, outside of Washington DC, where I spend my time exploring the world with my family (and my Fuji/Leica gear!). Although I spend more time on personal work than commercial work these days, focusing on personal projects has only ignited my passion for photography and I spend as much time behind the lens as ever.
After a couple of decades behind the lens I’m still amazed at how much there is to learn, try, and explore. While I occasionally miss the magic of watching images appear in the developer tray, I am a bit of a geek at heart and I find photography to be the perfect blend of art and technology. I teach photography workshops, especially for young people, and my work has appeared in Fuji Love magazine and website and the Photography Life website.
